Morning pick-up from your place of stay in Zanzibar and transfer to Zanzibar Seaport/ferry terminal or Airport to Dar es Salaam. Our Company representative will be waiting at the City with a comfortable 4WD Vehicle to drive you to Mikumi National Park. This road trip lasts about 5-6 hours with stunning en-route sceneries to behold and arrival is in the afternoon for game drive.
The common animals during this game viewing adventure are common elands, giraffes, Grant’s zebras, Cape buffaloes, yellow baboons, Hippos, wildebeests, Defassa waterbucks, African bush elephants. You will also occasionally come across lions, greater kudu, spotted hyenas, Sable antelopes, hartebeests and jackals. This park is also haven to the spotted hyenas, leopards and African rock pythons that are rarely encountered during game drives. Dinner and overnight at a Tented Camp or Lodge inside/near the Park.
Have a quick cup of tea/coffee, then early morning game drive through the spectacular savannah plains of Mikumi National Park and head back to your place of stay for a proper breakfast. Pack your things and drive back to Dar es Salaam for the late afternoon/evening flight or ferry crossing to Zanzibar. A driver will be ready to drop you off at your Hotel in Zanzibar or bid farewell as you take a flight back home. This marks the end of our 2 days Mikumi by Boat or Flight via Dar es Salaam.
